GroceryList Jamaica – Delivery & Pickup Policy

At GroceryList Jamaica, we are committed to providing reliable, efficient, and convenient delivery and pickup services for customers across the island. By placing an order on our platform, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

 

1. Delivery Policy

 

a. Estimated Delivery Timeframes

We offer estimated one-hour delivery for most orders based on location, traffic, store processing time, shopper availability, and item availability. Delivery times are estimates only and not guaranteed. Delays may occur due to high demand, weather, or operational challenges.

 

b. Delivery Locations

Delivery is available in select areas across Jamaica. A valid delivery address must be entered at checkout to confirm availability.

 

c. Delivery Fees

Delivery fees vary by distance, location, order size, demand, and shopper availability. Fees will be shown at checkout. Promotions may offer discounted or free delivery when eligible.

 

d. Extended Radius Charges

Addresses outside the standard 5–10 mile radius may incur an additional USD $12 fee.

 

e. Customer Availability Requirement

Customers must remain reachable by phone during the delivery window. Failure to answer calls or messages may result in delays, extra charges, or cancellation.

 

f. Failed Delivery Attempts

A delivery may fail if the address is incorrect, the customer or recipient is unavailable, the phone is not answered, or access instructions are missing. Rescheduled deliveries may require an additional fee. Perishable items are non-refundable after a delivery attempt.

 

g. Delivery Confirmation & Risk Transfer

A valid ID or signature may be required. Once the order is delivered and acknowledged, responsibility transfers to the customer. GroceryList Jamaica is not responsible for loss, theft, spoilage, or damage after delivery.

 

h. Unforeseen Delays

Delays may occur due to weather, traffic, technical issues, or shopper availability. GroceryList Jamaica is not liable for delays outside our control.

 

i. GroceryList Shoppers Only

All shopping, packing, and delivery activity is performed exclusively by authorized GroceryList Jamaica shoppers and partners.

 

2. Pickup Policy

 

a. Pickup Locations

Pickup is available at designated GroceryList Jamaica pickup points and partner stores.

 

b. Pickup Timeframes

Customers will receive a notification when the order is ready. Orders must be collected within the selected pickup window.

 

c. Pickup Verification

Customers must present a valid photo ID and the order confirmation number. Third-party pickups must be pre-authorized.

 

d. Delayed Pickup Fee

A USD $10 delayed pickup fee may apply if the customer arrives after the confirmed pickup window.

 

e. Risk Transfer at Pickup

Once items are collected and verified, all responsibility transfers to the customer.

 

3. Order Accuracy & Substitutions

 

a. Substitutions

Customers may allow or decline substitutions. When allowed, substitutions are selected based on similarity, price, brand, and dietary requirements.

 

b. Reporting Issues

Missing items, discrepancies, or quality concerns must be reported within 24 hours of receipt.

 

c. Refunds & Adjustments

Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method or the GroceryList Wallet. Processing time is 7–10 business days.

 

4. Limitations & Restrictions

 

Large or heavy orders may require additional fees or handling time. Deliveries may be delayed, rescheduled, or canceled due to weather, road closures, or unsafe conditions.

 

5. Store-Specific Policies

GroceryList Jamaica operates as a technology and fulfillment platform. We do not control in-store pricing, product availability, packaging, or store policies. Final totals reflect actual in-store checkout prices at the time of shopping.

 

6. Payment Authorization

By placing an order, customers authorize GroceryList Jamaica to adjust the final total based on actual in-store pricing, approved substitutions, weight-based pricing, and any discounts applied at checkout.

 

7. Fraud & Abuse Prevention

We may restrict or terminate accounts involved in fraudulent activity, abuse of promotions, misuse of the platform, or harassment of staff or contractors.

 

8. Policy Updates

This policy may be updated at any time. Updates will be communicated via the website, mobile app, or official notifications. Continued use of the platform confirms acceptance of any updated policy.
