At GroceryList, customer satisfaction and transparency are important to us. This Refund Policy explains when refunds may be granted and how final totals are calculated. By using our platform, you agree to these terms.

 


 

1. About Refunds

 

GroceryList Jamaica facilitates the purchase and delivery of items from partner stores.

We do not control:

  • Store pricing

  • Stock levels

  • Weight-based variations

  • Product quality

  • In-store promotions

Refunds are issued only under approved conditions and based strictly on the store receipt, not the estimated prices shown on our website.


 

2. Refund Eligibility

Refunds may be granted for the following:

 

2.1 Undelivered Items

 

A refund will be issued if an item was not delivered and appears absent on the store receipt.

 

 

2.2 Incorrect Items

 

If an item received does not match the product ordered, you may be eligible for a refund or replacement.

 

 

2.3 Unavailable Items (Not Purchased)

 

If an item is out of stock and:

 

  • No substitution was allowed,

  • Or the shopper could not substitute based on your instructions,

 

you will not be charged for that item.

Refund is based only on the store receipt amount.

 

 

2.4 Order Cancellations

 

Orders canceled before a shopper begins purchasing may qualify for a refund.

Once the order is in progress, refunds are limited and subject to investigation.

 


 

3. Refund Requests

 

 

3.1 Timeframe

 

Refund requests must be submitted within 24 hours of delivery or pickup.

Requests submitted after this window may not be accepted.

Customers must provide:

  • Reason for refund

  • Photo evidence (if applicable)

4. How Refunds Are Calculated

 

 

4.1 Final Prices Based on Store Receipt

 

All website prices are estimates.

Refunds are issued based on the actual store receipt, not website pricing.

 

 

4.2 Partial Refunds

 

Partial refunds apply only to:

 

  • Items not purchased

  • Items not delivered

  • Incorrect/damaged items

 

Refunds reflect the receipt price, not the estimated cart price.

 

 

4.3 Refund Timeline

 

If approved, refunds are processed within 7–10 business days, depending on your bank or payment provider.

 


 

5. Payment Disputes

 

We encourage customers to contact us before filing a bank dispute.

 

 

5.1 Investigation Period

 

Payment disputes may take 30–60 days for resolution.

GroceryList will provide documentation, including:

 

  • Receipt photo

  • Delivery photo

  • Substitution records

  • Checkout authorization

 

 

5.2 Stripe Decisions

 

Stripe manages dispute outcomes for card payments.

Their decisions are final where evidence cannot overturn a dispute.

 


 

6. Non-Refundable Situations

 

Refunds will NOT be granted for:

 

 

6.1 Incorrect Delivery Information

 

Wrong address, inaccessible locations, or unresponsive customers.

 

 

6.2 Pricing Differences

 

Because pricing on the website is an estimate, refunds will NOT be granted for:

 

  • Items costing more or less than estimated

  • Weight differences

  • Price variations at the store

 

 

6.3 Customer Errors

 

No refunds for:

 

  • Ordering wrong items

  • Misreading product details

  • Forgetting substitution rules

 

 

6.4 Completed Deliveries

 

Items delivered and confirmed with:

 

  • Photo proof

  • Receipt

  • Shopper documentation

 

are non-refundable unless proven damaged or incorrect.

 

 

6.5 Fraudulent Claims

 

False or repeated claims may lead to:

 

  • Denied refunds

  • Account suspension

  • Legal follow-up

 


 

7. Fraud Prevention

 

To protect our customers and the platform:

 

  • Identification may be required for disputed transactions

  • Order details may be verified

  • Accounts may undergo additional security checks

 


 

8. Refunds for Buy Now, Pay Later

 

Refunds processed through:

 

  • Klarna

  • AfterPay

  • PayPal

 

follow the provider’s policies.

Processing delays may occur outside of GroceryList’s control.

 


 

9. Store Receipt Transparency

 

Your final total and any refunds issued are based ONLY on:

 

  • Actual store prices

  • Verified item availability

  • Items physically purchased by the shopper

 

We upload receipts as proof for all orders.

 


 

10. Limitations of Liability

 

GroceryList is not responsible for:

 

  • Store pricing

  • Weight discrepancies

  • Quality issues

  • Stock limitations

  • In-store errors

 

Refunds apply only to the value of the affected item(s), not inconvenience, travel, or external costs.
